Fairfield Police Nab Man For Modeling Scam
FAiRFIELD — A woman was beaten and stabbed at the  Southport Train Station Monday according to police.

Police were called to the Southport Train Station, 96 Station St., Southport Monday morning .  They found a woman,  an employee of Paci Restaurant, who said that she was taking the garbage out to the dumpster when she was grabbed from behind. As she tried to get away from her attacker, he struck her several times in the face and then stabbed her with an unknown object in the abdomen. He then took off heading west to the parking lot.

Police said a K9 track from the scene yielded no results. The victim is currently in stable condition.

The suspect was described by the victim as a tall white male wearing a black hat, a scarf, and a black jacket. The victim did not recognize the suspect as someone she knew. Detectives are currently gathering surveillance footage from the area and interviewing possible witnesses to the crime.
