HARTFORD — A stabbing left a Hartford resident with serious injures, police report.
Around 9:35 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Wethersfield Avenue and Anawan Street on a report of a stabbing victim. Witnesses at the scene said there were a large group of people involved in an ‘altercation’ in front of 374 Wethersfield Avenue when the 38-year-old man was stabbed.
Police said after the stabbing, the man walked north on Wethersfield Avenue where he later collapsed.
The victim was rushed to Hartford Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for a laceration on his stomach.
Police reported that the man is in serious, but stable, condition.
