WINDHAM — Police have disclosed the name of the Connecticut woman who died in an early morning house fire.
State police on Tuesday identified the victim of Monday morning fire in Windham as 62-year-old Cynthia LaFontaine.
Firefighters say crews from several area fire departments helped knock down the fire reported at about 5 a.m.
LaFontaine was found inside the house and transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the state fire marshal.
