EAST HADDAM- An-going investigation at an East Haddam high school has led to multiple arrests after a report was made about male students engaging in inappropriate behavior.

Police arrested three male students from Nathan Hale-Ray High School on Friday.

Students allegedly took secretive, voyeuristic pictures of female students during class without their consent or knowledge, according to State Police.

“It's so wrong, especially seniors who are supposed to serve as role models are doing something as inappropriate as that and I feel it leaves a bad mark on the community as a whole and the school,” sophomore Aidan Behilo said.

“Personally as a male, it is the most sickening thing that I have ever heard of, not only other students, but people my age would sit there and exploit females in the school,” senior Chris Birdsey said.

East Haddam Public School Superintendent Brian Reas sent home a letter to parents Friday morning notifying them of the incident.

Reas stated:  “This type of alleged activity is illegal, intolerable and offensive, and we have a zero tolerance policy against any such behavior.”

East Haddam Police and State Police were first notified by school officials of male students engaging in inappropriate activity back in January.

Police have not released what charges the students are facing.
