NEW HAVEN — Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon.
Officials said police are investigating a shooting on Newhall Street near Bassett Street in the Newhallville neighborhood. The shooting happened around 1:20 p.m. Police said the gunshot victim was transported by private vehicle to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
The victim is a 34-year-old man who has non-life threatening wounds. He is in stable condition.
