Orange police investigate motorcycle vs SUV crash

ORANGE — Police are investigating a crash between a motorcycle and SUV on Tuesday morning.

Police said at 6:19 AM,  they were called to a motor vehicle accident on the Boston Post Road (RT1) at the intersection with Dogwood Road involving a car and a motorcycle. Police said the 27 year old male operator of a black Kawaski motorcycle was traveling westbound on RT1 when it collided with a black Nissan that was being operated by a 46 year old male that had been traveling south on Dogwood Road and was turning left onto RT1 to head eastbound. The motorcycle operator suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. There are some lane closures in the area but the roads remain open.

The Orange Police Reconstruction Team are still actively investigating this incident and will not be releasing further details at this time. If anyone witnessed or has information about this crash please contact Detective Carolyn Bailey at 203-891-2130.
