Hamden man killed after being struck by motorcycle in New Haven
NEW HAVEN — A pedestrian was killed Thursday night after being struck by a motorcycle at the corner of Ferry Street and Lombard Street.
According to police, two motorcycles were traveling north on Ferry Street as the pedestrian was crossing. One of the motorcycles collided with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 48-year-old man from Hamden, and the motorcyclist were rushed to the hospital where the pedestrian later died. The motorcyclist, who police say is a 30-year-old New Haven man, remains in critical but stable condition.
The intersection reopened Friday morning and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
