Kim Bishop is the Executive Director of Talent Attraction & Retention at the MetroHartford Alliance. In this role Kim manages the conceptualization, building, and implementation of the Alliance’s developing talent attraction strategy and oversees HYPE (Hartford Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs), the Alliance’s young professionals networking group in its 13th year with over 4,000 members. Prior to the Alliance, Kim worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford and the Hartford Public Library. She holds a Bachelors in Human Development & Family Studies from University of Connecticut.

Mickey Slevin is the General Manager for General Assembly’s operations in New York and has been leading our expansion to Connecticut. Prior to General Assembly, Mickey served as the Chief Operating Officer of FilmBuff, a leading curator of digital entertainment. In 2016, FilmBuff was acquired by a subsidiary of AT&T where Mickey continued to manage operations and business development. During his tenure, FilmBuff more than doubled in size and revenue, brokered deals with top companies including Google, Amazon, Netflix, Apple, and Comcast, and released over 2,000 titles including the Oscar Nominated Exit Through the Gift Shop. He serves on the board of the Flatiron Business Improvement District and volunteers with New York Cares. He has a BA in American Studies from Boston University and an MBA from Columbia Business School’s executive program.

Dr. Frazer is a psychologist with 20 years of expertise in psychological assessment and has put in 10,000 hours and then some. Dr. Frazer is Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine and author of The Psychology of Top Talent. Over the years, Dr. Frazer’s been most interested in the behaviors and personality traits that result in people’s success or failure. Human performance attributes underly everyone’s technical abilities.

These are the psychological factors that create top talent and high performing leaders who are loved by their teams.

Dr. Frazer provides decision-makers with proven techniques and tools to identify the characteristics to recruit and hire top talent. If you already have top-performers, then he can help your leaders fine-tune their professional development for optimal performance with actionable goals through coaching or training. Dr. Frazer spends a significant amount of his professional time curating psychological research, writing about its applications on human performance, and developing strategies and protocols to help top professionals consistently push their potential. In his free time, Dr. Frazer pursues physical and psychological challenges in the “outdoor lab” that can enhance productivity and flow.
