WINDSOR — Connecticut State Police said a woman has died in a 4-car crash on I-91 southbound near exit 36 on Friday.
Connecticut State Police said Joy Deloge, 59, of West Haven died at Hartford Hospital due to injuries suffered in accident.
State police say Deloge was traveling south in the right lane when her car rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, struck the guardrail, bounced off and veered across all lanes of traffic to the left, then hit the concrete barrier in the median. Another car struck then struck Deloge’s car, and that car was struck by another.
Only minor injuries were reported for the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles.
I-91 Southbound was closed for several hours while the vehicles were cleared and the crash investigated.
