NEW HAVEN – New Haven Police said an officerwas injured in a hit & run that occurred on Long Wharf Drive.
The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday night. Police say tell FOX61 they believe the officer was getting out of his car when he was side-swiped. The officer was taken to the hospital, but has been treated and released.
No one has been apprehended in connection with the crime at this time. The vehicle fled the scene, however, was described as a black Nissan style SUV.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
