Bridgeport Mayor Ganim declares victory over state senator Marilyn Moore in primary

BRIDGEPORT --  Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim has declared victory over state senator Marilyn Moore Tuesday night.

State Sen Marilyn Moore – who won the ballot machine vote but lost to Ganim due to absentee votes is not on the November ballot - even as an independent candidate - because she did not provide the significant number of signatures for the general election. She needed to provide 207 verified signatures but only came up with 168.

FOX61's Zinnia Maldonado caught up with Mayor Ganim after he declared victory.
