NEW BRITAIN -- A New Britain police cruiser was struck by a car Friday night at the intersection of Stanley Street and North Street.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Police say the officer was taken to the hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
Police said the operator of the second vehicle involved, a 24-year-old man from Hartford, declined medical attention on scene.
There have not been any charges filed at this time
