Brooke Griffin is thrilled to be in Hartford working at Fox 61 as a reporter with a special love for covering politics, breaking news, and weather. She is originally from Hickory, North Carolina. She attended Marshall University with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Meteorology and Political Science.
Before working to gain her status as a true New Englander, Brooke worked as a reporter in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to that, she worked behind the camera as a photographer during college in Huntington/Charleston West Virginia.
She has reported on essential stories in the thick of the pandemic, interviewed presidential candidates during campaign seasons, covered multiple hurricanes, chased tornadoes in the Midwest, spent days telling emotional stories after an active shooter walked into a Tulsa hospital and opened fire, and much more.
Besides working to get the lead story, you can find Brooke trying new restaurants and dessert places, exploring every inch of New England, playing with her corgi named Peaches, and traveling to other countries.
