Matt is a reporter/anchor with 15 years of television news experience.
Since joining FOX61 in 2018, Matt has reported on some of Connecticut’s most high-profile stories including the COVID-19 pandemic, racial injustice, the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, the Sandy Hook massacre, the crisis of crumbling home foundations and the vintage plane crash at Bradley Airport.
Matt’s news philosophy has always been ‘people first.’ Ethics matter - empathy matters.
Prior to joining the Fox family, Matt was an evening Anchor / Reporter for WWLP 22News in Springfield, MA where he spearheaded the launch of a new 10 PM weekend newscast on the station’s CW affiliate.
Matt started his career in 2006 as an intern. He has been a production assistant, assistant technical director, microwave signal operator, web content producer, news producer, executive producer, assignment editor, reporter, and anchor.
Matt is a 2010 Cum Laude graduate of Western New England University where he regularly returns to give guest lectures to future broadcasters.
Matt lives in Wethersfield with his wife Amanda - a teacher, his son Landen and his dog, Lola.
When he is not on the clock, you’ll have a good chance of finding him at the beach or a good restaurant, swinging a golf club or rooting for his Buffalo Bills.
