HARTFORD, Connecticut — Tom Manning has been named morning news content director, effective Sept. 13, FOX61 and CW20 announced Friday.
Manning will be responsible for overseeing FOX61's morning newscast which airs weekdays from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m.
As an international award-winning journalist, Manning has more than 30 years of experience as a news director, producer, operations manager and photojournalist. Manning previously served as news director at WTNH and as a photojournalist for ABC news.
Earlier in his career, Manning served as FOX61's chief photographer, operations manager and assistant news director.
“FOX61/CW20 is a solid and innovative operation,” said Manning. “I look forward to returning and supporting the mission to serve the local community.”
Manning is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism News Management Seminar and the Poynter Institute TV Journalism and Ethics program. He was received more than 50 awards during his career, including multiple Emmys, and has also been honored as National Press Photographer Region 1 Photographer of the Year.
