Walgreens closing 2 Connecticut locations

Locations in New Haven and East Hampton are affected.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Two Walgreens locations in Connecticut are closing down for good.

The company confirmed to FOX61 Thursday that the New Haven location on 1471 Whalley Avenue and the East Hampton location on 25 East High St. are slated to close.

Walgreens announced in October plans to close around 1,200 locations nationwide over the next three years, and about 500 by the end of this fiscal year.

The exact dates of the store closures have not been announced.
