WATERBURY, Conn. — Police arrested four people in connection with a deadly May 14 shooting.
On Thursday evening, officers responded to the area of Willow Street and Woodlawn Terrace to investigate a shooting. Several people had call police complaining about the shooting.
No one was suffering from gunshot wounds when police arrived on the scene.
Officers were able to determine two people with gunshot wounds were driven to the local area hospitals.
A 23-year-old woman who was shot in the leg arrived at Waterbury hospital. A 26-year-old man arrived at Saint Mary's Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
Officers responded to Saint Mary's Hospital and found the car that arrived at the emergency room. The car had three people inside including one of the gunshot victims. The three people inside the car were detained by police and the man was brought into the hospital for treatment.
The woman with a gunshot wound to the leg was released from the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The man with the gunshot wound to his torso was pronounced dead at 10:25 pm.
Officials identified him as 26-year-old Isaiah Colon of Waterbury.
Police said the gunshots that were fired came from a dark-colored SUV. The car drove away before the police initially arrived on the scene.
Early Friday morning, police saw a black SUV traveling on Hamilton Road towards Pearl Lake Road and believed it was the car involved in the shooting.
The car was later confirmed to be stolen from Groton.
All three people inside the car were arrested. The people were identified as 19-year-old Jan Santiago, 18-year-old Byron E. Cruz, and a juvenile.
According to Waterbury Police, investigation determined that a fourth person in the SUV, 18-year-old Evel Pacheco shot at the people in the street during this drive-by shooting.
Pacheco was arrested Friday afternoon during a motor vehicle stop.
All suspects involved in the shooting are facing a multitude of charges.

Pacheco was held on a $1,500,000 bond pending arraignment in court/ GA 4.
Jan Santiago was charged with:
Conspiracy at Murder; Conspiracy at Assault 1st; Weapons in Motor Vehicle; Larceny 1st degree; Assault on Police Office (4 cts); Criminal Trover 2nd; Interfering with Police Officers; Reckless Driving; Operating a Vehicle without a License; Engaging Police in Pursuit
Santiago was held on a $1,500,000 bond pending arraignment in court/GA 4.
Byron Cruz was charged with:
Conspiracy at Murder; Conspiracy at Assault 1st;p Weapons in Motor Vehicle; Larceny 1st; Interfering with Police Officers
Cruz was held on a $1,500,000 bond pending arraignment in court/GA 4
The juvenile was charged with:
Conspiracy at Murder; Conspiracy at Assault 1st; Weapons in Motor Vehicle; Larceny 1st; Interfering with Police Officers
The juvenile was released to Juvenile Detention pending arraignment in court

During the motor vehicle stop of Pacheco, the driver and front seat passenger were also arrested, police said in a release.
The driver was identified as 30-year-old Harry Isaac, of Waterbury and the front seat passenger was identified as 39-year-old Camille Cruz.
Isaac was charged with Weapons in a Motor Vehicle and held on a $150,000 pending arraignment in court/GA.
Cruz was charged with Weapons in Motor Vehicle; Possession of Pistol without a Permit; Possession of High Capacity Magazine (2 CTS).
She was held on a $500,000 bond pending arraignment in court/ GA.
