3 arrested for involvement of selling drugs in Hartford: Police

Hartford narcotics detectives searched an apartment on Hungerford Street and another on Park Street.

HARTFORD, Conn. — Editor's note: Video above originally aired in October 2023. 

Hartford police found over 1,700 sleeves of fentanyl as well as other drugs, paraphernalia and a firearm at two apartments in the city Friday. Three people were arrested.

Hartford narcotics detectives searched an apartment on Hungerford Street after citizens complained of drug sales happening in the neighborhood.

Detectives found and took a semi-automatic firearm, 1,710 sleeves of fentanyl, 81 grams of crack cocaine, and 5.6 grams of powder cocaine, police said.

Police also searched a building on the 800 block of Park Street, where detectives seized narcotics packaging and over $14,000 in cash.

Luis Colon-Perez, 37, was arrested and charged with operating a drug factory, possession with intent to sell narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.

Eduardo Ortiz, 40, was charged with possession with intent to sell narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.

Christina Evans, 27, was charged with possession of narcotics. All three people arrested are from Hartford.
