BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Bridgeport Police Department is taking a new approach to solving cold cases.
On Monday, the department released the second episode of "Park City Confidential," a true crime style video series highlighting some of the city's cold cases.
The series is produced by the department's Homicide unit and its goal is to generate tips from the public. Episodes run between 5 and 10 minutes and are posted to the department's social media pages.
In the first episode, they detailed the 2020 murder of Abdul Lemon. Lemon was killed on Remington St. on Jan. 10th of that year when he was shot several times around 1:30 a.m.
According to police, the homicide unit already has strong leads in the murder and those who can provide details are asked to contact Detective Thomas Harper at (203) 581-5239.
In the second episode, police document the death of Heriberto Marquez, also from 2020. Marquez was murdered just before midnight on Aug. 30th at the intersection of Iranistan Ave and Hanover Street.
