NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A man has been charged in connection to a double arson investigation in New Haven back in September.
Terrence Bogan, 43, has been charged with arson, reckless burning, and reckless endangerment, New Haven police said Friday.
The charges stem from an incident on Step. 22, when New Haven police and fire department members were called at 12:11 a.m. to a report of a fire at the Three Judges Motor Lodge, located at 1560 Whalley Avenue.
At 12:41 a.m., a second fire was reported at the New Haven Inn, located at 100 Pond Lily Avenue.
The two fires were deemed suspicious.
As a result of an in-depth investigation, a suspect was developed. It was determined the same person was responsible for both fires, police said.
A picture of the suspect was given out to the public, and investigators were able to identify Bogan as the suspect.
On Oct. 31, an officer arrested Bogan under the active warrants.
Bogan is being held on a $700,000 bond.
