HARTFORD, Conn. — A man has been found guilty of the murder of Kwadir Paris in Hartford in January 2020.
A Superior Court jury on Friday found Yamil Rohena, 28, of Hartford, guilty of the crime of murder.
The conviction stems from the January 4, 2020, fatal shooting of Paris, 27, of Hartford.
Testimony presented at the trial showed the victim was shot six times by the defendant in front of a home on Martin Street.
Paris was located in a crashed car at Albany Avenue and Vine Street. Officers discovered the passenger had been shot; his mother was attempting to drive him to the hospital.
Evidence at trial included footage from the City of Hartford and private residence video surveillance cameras that captured the moments of the shooting.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 15 in Hartford Superior Court.
