NEW HAVEN, Conn. — New Haven police are searching for four people who allegedly held up an Amazon driver at gunpoint and robbed the delivery truck on Wednesday.
Police were called to the area of Whitney Ave. and Liden St. just after 1 p.m. for a report of a robbery.
Responding officers spoke to an Amazon driver who said that his truck was robbed.
While the driver was unloading the truck, four people approached the driver and demanded he get inside the truck, according to police after a preliminary investigation.
Two out of the four suspects had firearms; one of them allegedly pointed a firearm at the driver and another was showing a firearm, police said.
The Amazon driver was not physically injured, police said.
The suspects left the area in a vehicle. Police have a description of the vehicle and are now searching for the four suspects involved.
It is not clear at this time how many packages, if any, were taken from the Amazon truck.
