NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Police have canceled a Silver Alert for a missing one year old girl.
Police believe the child was nearby when a suspect shot his female companion. The man is in custody.
Silver Alerts are issued by law enforcement agencies for missing people of all ages. Amber Alerts are issued for children who are believed to be in danger.
