Stratford police seek public’s help locating ‘armed and dangerous' suspect

Brittany Rondeau, 37, of Marlborough, is also wanted by state police for “escape from custody.”

STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford police and state police are seeking help from the public in locating a suspect who they believe was involved in an armed robbery at the Stratford Motor Inn on March 19.

Brittany Rondeau, 37, of Marlborough is “armed and dangerous,” according to a release from the Stratford police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Unit on Saturday afternoon, who said Rondeau is also wanted by Connecticut State Police for "escape from custody."  

Police said Rondeau is a white female who is approximately 5-foot-4 and weighs approximately 130 pounds; she has a sunflower style tattoo on her right upper arm, a wing/face tattoo on her upper left arm and a sun style tattoo on the center of her lower back.

Rondeau is wanted by Stratford police on a felony arrest warrant for first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, police said.

According to police, officers responded to the inn on Stratford Avenue on March 19 after receiving a report of an armed robbery. The victim said they were robbed at gunpoint of a bank bag containing cash and personal items and described the suspects as two males and one female, police said.

The Narcotics and Vice Unit launched an investigation that resulted in the arrest of the two male suspects, police said, adding that Jack Madison, 59, and Courtney Estaba, 34, have each been charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police said a $100,000 court bond has been set for Rondeau.
