HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police are investigating a fatal stabbing inside an apartment on Friday evening.
Hartford police officials said a call came into them at 4:22 p.m. from a family doing a well-being check and found a man in his 30s inside an apartment in the area of 46 York Street with multiple stab wounds.
The man found dead inside the apartment has been identified as Benjamin Velazquez, 32, of Hartford.
There are cameras in the area that police are reviewing and are requesting a search warrant to search for additional evidence.
Police believe he may have been unattended for hours. No arrests have been made so far.
Police have towed a car as part of their investigation.
This incident makes it Hartford's 29th homicide of the year.
