Waterford police seize fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms and firearm in raid

Jordan Strickland, 28, was arrested and faces more than a dozen charges.

WATERFORD, Conn. — After a month-long investigation, Waterford police said they arrested a man on Friday who allegedly operated a drug factory out of his residence, which is near a school.

Members of the police department’s Investigative Services Division executed a search and seizure warrant at 20 Wild Rose Avenue after investigating reports of possible drug activity there, which led the department to apply for the warrant, police said.

Jordan Strickland, 28, who lives at 20 Wild Rose Avenue, was arrested after police said they seized fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana and mushrooms along with various drug related packaging and scales. A firearm without a serial number and $4,638 was also seized, police said.

Strickland’s charges include risk of injury to a minor, possession of a firearm without a serial number, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession with intent to sell (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession with intent to sell (fentanyl), possession of a controlled substance (psilocin) and possession with intent to sell (psilocin).

More charges against Strickland include possession of cannabis, possession with intent to sell (cannabis), drug factory (no cannabis), drug factory (with cannabis), possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory situation and possession within 1,500 feet of a school.

Police said Strickland was processed and released on a $100,000 bond with a court date of April 23 in New London.
