STRATFORD, Conn — The Stratford Board of Education has placed their superintendent on paid administrative leave after a vote on Thursday following a November arrest.
This decision stems from an incident where Superintendent Dr. Uyi Osunde was charged on November 25 with Second Degree Breach of Peace and was held on a $2,000 bond.
A special meeting was called for Thursday to discuss the future of Osunde and the board voted 4-3 to place him on leave. He was in attendance for the vote as well.
The current Director of Pupil Services Heather Borges was also appointed as interim superintendent during the meeting.
