Stratford superintendent placed on leave after arrest

This decision stems from an incident where Superintendent Dr. Uyi Osunde was charged on November 25 with Second Degree Breach of Peace and was held on a $2,000 bond.

STRATFORD, Conn — The Stratford Board of Education has placed their superintendent on paid administrative leave after a vote on Thursday following a November arrest.

This decision stems from an incident where Superintendent Dr. Uyi Osunde was charged on November 25 with Second Degree Breach of Peace and was held on a $2,000 bond.

A special meeting was called for Thursday to discuss the future of Osunde and the board voted 4-3 to place him on leave. He was in attendance for the vote as well.

The current Director of Pupil Services Heather Borges was also appointed as interim superintendent during the meeting.
