NEW HAVEN, Conn. — TV star Steve Schirripa was spotted at Frank Pepe's Pizza on Friday for some New Haven-style apizza.
The "Blue Bloods" actor went to Pepe's with his family and got a picture with one of the staff members, and it was shared on the pizzeria's social media page.
Turns out, he's becoming a regular, and the staff "loves how nice they are," a Frank Pepe's manager told FOX61 on Saturday.
Over 1,000 fans of New Haven apizza and Schirripa "liked" or "loved" Pepe's post.
"We need to make him an honorary New Haven kid!" one user said.
"Famous people showing up at Pepe's. Love it." another said.
"The Sopranos" alum was in New Haven last fall, along with Vincent Pastore and Michael Imperioli, for a conversation with fans about the hit HBO show. Schirripa and Imperioli both host a Sopranos re-watch podcast, "TALKING SOPRANOS."
Frank Pepe's has numerous locations around Connecticut and along the Eastern seaboard, including its first and most famous location on Wooster Street in New Haven.
