ANDOVER — A fire destroyed a home in Andover Tuesday evening.
According to the Andover Resident Trooper, Connecticut State Police’s Facebook page, the fire happened on Burnap Brook Road.
One person was inside when the fire started and was awakened by the smoke detectors going off.
The person was able to get out of the house safely, but firefighters said the home is a total lost.
The fire was said to have started in the chimney area but the exact cause can be determined to the extent of damage.
