43 campers, 3 DEEP staff rescued after being stranded in Kettletown State Park

Emergency Services successfully evacuated everyone with the help of the Kent Fire Department, Sherman Fire Department, USAR and DEEP EnCon Police.

SOUTHBURY, Conn. — A total of 43 campers and 3 DEEP staff members were rescued after being stranded in Kettletown State Park due to a washed out bridge, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
