OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Beezow Doo-doo Zopittybop-bop-bop was arrested for assaulting an Evergreen State College police officer and a county deputy.
The Columbian reported Zopittybop-bop-bop, 34, appeared in court Monday to answer charges that he resisted arrest after being detained for tearing down posters outside the school's library on January 31.
Police said they tried to restrain him but Zopittybop-bop-bop, who was born Jeffrey Drew Wilschke, bit one of the officers fingers and kept grabbing for the officer's gun. Police said the other officer was injured when the suspect swung a handcuff case "like a hammer."
Officers used Tasers to bring the man down but he got up and ran away twice. After being hit by the Taser a third time, Zopittybop-bop-bop was arrested.
The paper reported Zopittybop-bop-bop was arrested in 2012 on marijuana and weapon charges in Wisconsin and again in 2013 on drug charges in Iowa.
Prosecutors were trying to determine if Zopittybop-bop-bop was the man's legal name.
