FARMINGTON, Conn. — A crash involving a car and ambulance on Interstate 84 near Exit 39 is under investigation, according to police.
One person was transported from the scene by LifeStar with serious injuries and three other patients were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries, said police.
Route 4 at the I-84 off-ramp is currently shut down for investigation and will be for approximately 3 hours. Please seek alternate routes.
The North Central Regional Accident Reconstruction team is on the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Farmington Police Department at 860-675-2400.
