BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport police officer is facing stalking and domestic violence charges after an investigation into allegations launched earlier this year, according to police.
Officer Dani Soto turned himself in at the Bridgeport Police Department on Tuesday morning and was charged with five counts of stalking - fear of physical safety, four counts of unlawful restraint, and 22 counts of harassment.
Soto had been on administrative status with pay since May 8. An investigation into the domestic violence allegations was launched the next day.
His bond was set at $75,000 and will be arraigned in court on Wednesday.
Soto has been serving as a Bridgeport police officer since April 2017.
