NORWALK, Conn. — The driver of a car that went off-road and into an embankment was found dead at the scene of the crash on Saturday in Norwalk, police said.
Officers received multiple calls around 4:45 p.m. about a single car crash in the area of Grist Mill Road and the Route 7 connector. Norwalk police, fire, and emergency medical services responded to the scene and worked to remove the driver from the car that was found in an embankment, police said.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Joshua Chapman of Naugatuck, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Norwalk Hospital emergency medical crew, police said.
