STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man has died after a dirt bike crash at a local park late Friday night, according to city police.
Around 11 p.m. Stamford Police began investigating the crash near Scalzi Park, on Bridge Street.
A 23-year-old Stamford resident, Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, was riding a dirt bike in the area when he lost control, hit the curb and crashed along the guardrail, police said.
The Stamford Police revealed that the dirt bike’s speed may have been a factor in this crash. Chinchilla-Najarro died from injuries at the scene, police said.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad at (203) 977-4712.
