NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Two early morning fires in Hartford and New Haven displaced 25 people on Tuesday.
Both fires happened in multi-family homes. No injuries were reported.
In New Haven, the fire broke out on the third flood of a home at the corner of Winthrop and Gilbert Streets. Firefighters responded around 6 a.m. and the blaze was quickly extinguished. Officials said seven people were displaced because of this fire.
In Hartford, the fire broke out at a home on Park Terrace around 3:30 a.m. The blaze was contained to the second and third floors of the multi-family home.
The fire department said nine adults and nine children were displaced after the fire.
The cause of both fires is under investigation.
