HARTFORD, Conn. — Fireworks are a key component of celebrating summer and Independence Day. Many towns and cities across Connecticut will be holding fireworks displays and celebrations this summer.
Due to weather, some firework displays may have been rescheduled. Check with your town for the latest updates.

Wednesday, July 3: Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show at Andover High School, around 9:20 p.m.
Bridgeport
Friday, June 28: Barnum's Skyblast Fireworks at Seaside Park. The event begins at 7 p.m. with fireworks starting at dusk.
Bristol
Thursday, July 4: The Summer Fireworks event will take place at Lake Compounce at 9 p.m.
Friday, July 5: The Summer Fireworks event will take place at Lake Compounce at 9 p.m.
Saturday, July 6: The Summer Fireworks event will take place at Lake Compounce at 9 p.m.
Saturday, July 13: The Summer Fireworks event will take place at Lake Compounce at 9 p.m.
Saturday, July 20: The Summer Fireworks event will take place at Lake Compounce at 9 p.m.
Canaan
Saturday, July 20: The Canaan Railroad Days Fireworks will take place at Lawrence Field at 9 p.m.
Clinton
Saturday, Aug. 24: The Clinton Summer Festival fireworks will occur at Clinton Town Beach at 9 p.m.
Coventry
Saturday, June 29: Coventry Fest will take place at Coventry Lake at Patriots Park beginning at 6 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.
Darien
Friday, July 12: The Darien Town Fireworks will take place at Darien High School, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. There will be a rain date of July 19.
Derby
Wednesday, July 3: Fourth of July Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. with a rain date of July 5. Food trucks and a concert at Elizabeth St. near Main St on Wednesday, July 3, from 6-9 p.m., Rain Date – Friday July 5
East Haven
Saturday, June 29: The Fireworks Beach Party at East Haven Beach begins with music starting at 4 p.m. and fireworks starting around 9:15 p.m. (Rain date: Monday, July 1)
Enfield
Sunday, July 7: The Enfield Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at the town green with the event Celebrate Enfield beginning at 10 a.m. and the fireworks starting at 9:45 p.m.
Fairfield
Sunday, July 7: The Town of Fairfield Fireworks event will take place at Jennings Beach at 9:15 p.m. Moved to Sunday due to weather.
Farmington
Friday, July 12 (carnival 7/11-7/13): The Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 of the Unionville Fire Department will have a fireworks show at a carnival on the Union School Grounds at 9:30 p.m. The carnival will have rides, games, and a variety of food.
Greenwich
Saturday, July 6: The Greenwich Fireworks Display will happen at Greenwich Point Park and Binney Park at dusk with a rain date of July 7.
Guilford
Saturday, July 13: Fireworks in Guilford will be at Guilford Fairgrounds on Lovers Lane at dusk.
Hamden
Friday, June 28: Hamden's 26th Annual Fireworks Display at Town Center Park. The event begins at 6 p.m. with fireworks around 9:20 a.m.
Hartford
Thursday, July 4: The Hartford Yard Goats fireworks will happen at Dunkin' Park at the end of their game.
Friday, July 5: The Hartford Yard Goats fireworks will happen at Dunkin' Park at the end of their game.
Sunday, July 7: Hartford BONANZA at Bushnell Park from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Moved from Saturday to Sunday due to weather.

Saturday, June 29: Hebron Lions Fireworks and Touch-A-Truck event beginnings at 4 p.m. at the Hebron Lions Fairgrounds with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The rain date will be June 30.

Friday, June 28: Red, White, and Blue BBQ & Fireworks at Owen Bell Park. The event begins at 5 p.m., and the fireworks are expected at 9:15 p.m. It has a rain date of June 30.
Lakeville (Salisbury)
Saturday, July 6: The Rotary Club's Lighting Up Lime Rock event will take place at Lime Rock Park at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. There is a rain date of July 7.
Litchfield
Saturday, June 29: The Community Celebration & Fireworks event will begin at 5 p.m. at the Litchfield High School Field, with fireworks after dusk.
Madison
Friday, July 5: The Madison CT Fireworks event will happen at the waterfront area off of West Wharf Beach at 9:30 p.m.
Manchester
Sunday, July 7: Dutch Fogarty Independence Day Celebration at Manchester Community College starting from 4 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. Rescheduled to Sunday due to rain.
Middlebury
Thursday, July 4: The 3D Fireworks event will take place at Quassy Amusement Park after dark.
Middletown
Friday, June 29: The Middletown Fireworks Festival begins at 5 p.m. at the Middletown Community Park/Harbor Park. Fireworks will begin around 9:30 p.m. with a rain date of June 30.
Meriden
Wednesday, July 3: The Meriden Fireworks and Concert will take place at Hubbard Park with the concert starting at 7 p.m. and the fireworks starting at 9 p.m. Rain date is July 12.
New Britain
Wednesday, July 3: The New Britain Bees will hold their fireworks event at the end of their game.
Thursday, July 4: The Great American Boom will take place at Willow Brook Park. The parking lot will open at 7 p.m., and fireworks will occur at 9 p.m. $10 per car.

Wednesday, July 3: The Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular will begin at Bradley Point Park at 9:15 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m.
