BERLIN, Conn. — A man was killed in an industrial incident Tuesday afternoon, according to Berlin police.
Police said they were called at 12:57 p.m. Police, EMS, for reports of an industrial accident at CWPM 415 Christian Lane Berlin, involving a payloader and a person possibly trapped underneath.
When they arrived, they found a large industrial payloader had struck and seriously injured a worker at the facility.
Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
The victim was identified Thursday as David Dionne, 66, a Waterbury resident and employee of CWPM.
The Berlin Police Department will be investigating this accident assisted by Midstate Accident Reconstruction Squad. OSHA was also contacted to respond and assist with the investigation.
