BRISTOL, Conn. — A Bristol woman is dead, and another person is hospitalized after a crash in Bristol on Friday night.
Bristol police said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Officers responded to the area of Wolcott Road, north of Old Wolcott Road for a serious two-vehicle crash with injuries.
First responders provided medical aid to both drivers. One driver was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated. The second driver, identified as 21-year-old Bristol resident Jessica Gray, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bristol Police Department's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to further investigate.
The initial investigation showed that Gray was traveling southbound on Wolcott Road and crossed over the double center line.
That vehicle was then struck by another, headed northbound, seriously injuring that driver.
This crash is still under investigation.
