BRISTOL, Conn — Firefighters battled a house fire in Bristol while enduring the summer heat on Monday afternoon.
Bristol firefighters were called to a home on the 200 block of Summer Street for a second-alarm fire.
Responding crews were able to knock down the fire quickly.
Two firefighters got minor injuries, and both are doing OK, officials said. It is not clear if anyone was home at the time of the fire and how many people were displaced. The cause of the fire is also not known.
Southington and New Britain Fire Departments provided mutual aid.
Firefighters responded to the fire while the state was under a hot weather protocol.
