BRISTOL, Conn. — A motorcycle rider not wearing a helmet was seriously injured in a crash just before noon on Saturday, Bristol police said.
The crash between the motorcycle and a sedan happened at around 11:49 a.m. in the area of Middle Street and Redstone Hill Road.
Police said the driver of the motorcycle was suffering from serious injuries and Lifestar was contacted to take them to a nearby hospital. Police said the cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the sedan was not injured.
An initial investigation into the crash found that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Middle Street when the sedan exited a business’ driveway. The motorcycle struck the sedan.
Middle Street was closed during the investigation, and it has since reopened.
