ROCKY HILL, Conn. — The passengers of a car that crashed into a Rocky Hill home Saturday afternoon are seriously injured, police say.
Rocky Hill police said the Rocky Hill Fire Department responded at 12:11 p.m. to the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a car into a house on Marshall Road.
Responding units found a vehicle crashed into the front of a house with significant damage to the house and the vehicle.
EMS transported the occupant of the vehicle, who sustained serious injuries, to an area hospital. They are expected to survive.
Rocky Hill fire officials said that the house was unoccupied at the time of the collision and there were no other reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Their investigation determined the vehicle was traveling in a northern direction on Robbins Lane when it left the roadway and struck a fence surrounding a community pool on Marshall Road.
The vehicle evaded the scene of the initial collision and began to travel in a western direction on Marshall Road where it left the roadway and struck the home.
Due to the seriousness of the motor vehicle collision, the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad was activated and will assume the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding this motor vehicle collision is asked to contact Rocky Hill Police Officer Peter Vanturas at 860-258-2049 or Sergeant Jeffrey Foss-Rugan at 860-258-2041.
