Chaperone policy soon going into effect at Lake Compounce

One chaperone age 21 or older can accompany up to four guests ages 17 and younger and must show a valid ID.

BRISTOL, Conn. — A chaperone policy is going into effect at Lake Compounce in September, as the amusement park said it's working to curb "unruly behavior" parks around the country have reported seeing from younger visitors this summer.

The policy will require guests 17 and under to have a chaperone at least 21 years old to accompany them. One chaperone can accompany up to four younger guests at a time and must show a valid ID. Guests who do not abide will not be let into the park and will be kicked out of the park.

"Through this updated policy, our goal is to combat this behavior and continue to provide our visitors with a safe, enjoyable, family-friendly environment," Lake Compounce said on its website.

The policy goes into effect on Saturday, Sept. 21, which also happens to be the start of the park's Phantom Fall Fest.

This policy applies to single-day tickets and Passholders for the 2024 and 2025 Season.
