EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — A double shooting that happened on Thursday morning is under investigation in East Hartford, police said.
According to police, just after 1 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 200 Nutmeg Lane on a report of shots fire. Officers located a male victim who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police also located several bullet castings, a handgun, and a rifle at the scene.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital, according to police.
A short time after, police responded to the area of Philips Farm Road on a report of an injured man knocking on doors asking for help. The man was found on Silver Lan who was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both of the victims are expected to survive, said police.
It is not yet known if the incidents are related. Police are investigating and are working to identify the victims.
According to police, there is no immediate threat to the public, as this appears to be an isolated incident.
