GLASTONBURY, Conn. — In a recent undercover test Glastonbury police conducted to check alcohol service compliance at local bars and restaurants, all of the tested establishments ended up serving liquor to minors.
The Glastonbury Police Department's Youth Unit and Dept. of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Division found that the 10 tested establishments were out of compliance.
With help from youth volunteers, these establishments were tested and were found to be selling liquor to minors:
- 99 Restaurant - 3025 Main Street
- Chili's Grill & Bar - 2855 Main Street
- Bertucci's Italian Restaurant - 2882 Main Street
- Maggie McFly's - 40 Glastonbury Boulevard
- Clubhouse on Main - 2866 Main Street
- Plan B - 120 Hebron Avenue
- Sakura Garden - 120 Hebron Avenue
- Diamond Pub & Grill - 195 Hebron Avenue
- First & Last Tavern - 21 Rankin Road
- Square Peg Pizzeria - 1001 Hebron Avenue
The Liquor Control Commission will take over enforcing action in response to the test. These establishments risk being fined and facing liquor license suspension for violating the law, police said.
Those with questions and concerns regarding youth drug and alcohol activity are encouraged to call the Glastonbury Police Dept. or visit glastonburyct.gov/police.
