HARTFORD, Conn. — Five people were arrested after an attempted street takeover involving around 100 ATVs Saturday night, the city's police department said.
Officers responded to Greenfield Street at Woodland Street after receiving multiple complaints at 6 p.m. regarding a group of about 100 ATVs that were allegedly "driving recklessly" and creating "hazardous conditions," according to police.

The North and South Street Crime Units, along with South Community Service Officers, cleared out multiple locations with ATVs and arrested some of the riders.
Of the five who were arrested, two were taken to the Hartford Police Detention Facility, police said.
Weslye Santiago, 26, of New Britain is facing charges of operations prohibited, reckless driving and interfering with an officer.
Angel Figueroa of Manchester, 33, is facing charges of reckless driving, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of marker plates and weapons in a motor vehicle.
Police said four ATVs were seized, one vehicle was towed, and a gun was recovered.
The ATVs were later taken to the Hartford Police Impound Lot, according to police.
