According to a release, Connecticut Children’s Injury Prevention Center is excited to announce a Request for Proposals for community-based agencies in collaboration with the Commission on Community Gun Violence Intervention and Prevention.

The commission was established to advise the state’s Department of Public Health on evidence-based prevention programs and strategies to reduce community gun violence in the state, DPH said. The commission consists of health care providers, public health and violence prevention experts, law enforcement officials and community leaders.
