Man dies from injuries after Hartford shooting: Police

The incident happened on Franklin Avenue on Saturday night, police said.

HARTFORD, Conn. — A man died from his injuries after being shot on Saturday night in Hartford, police said.

Officers responded at 8:36 p.m. to the area of 115 Franklin Avenue on a report of a person shot, police said. A man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The man, identified as 32-year-old Christian Michael Lopez of Hartford, was taken to an area hospital for treatment and listed in critical condition as of 11:10 p.m. Saturday.

Police later confirmed around 3 a.m. Sunday that Lopez died from his injuries, and that they are now investigating a homicide. 

There is no information on possible suspects or arrests made at this time.
