HARTFORD, Conn. — Trinity Health of New England (THNE) reached a multi-year agreement with UnitedHealthcare to ensure patients have in-network access to THNE hospitals, facilities and health care providers, according to a release Monday.

The agreement, effective as of Monday, ensures that patients covered by UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, including Group Retiree and Senior Care Options (SCO), can schedule appointments and receive the care that they need, THNE said.

Network access is also given to THNE providers for the UnitedHealthcare Dual Special Needs Plan, while those enrolled in the One Care plan have access to St. Francis Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, UnitedHealthCare said.

THNE includes Saint Francis Hospital, Saint Mary's Hospital, Johnson Memorial Hospital, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and Trinity Health of New England Medical Group.

Anyone looking for further information on the agreement can visit the THNE website here, as well as call the patient information line at 860-263-0344.
