MANCHESTER, Conn. — Firefighters rescued a driver from an SUV that crashed on the westbound side of Interstate 384 in Manchester early Saturday morning.
Parts of the highway near Exits 2 and 3 were shut down for several hours and reopened around 11 a.m. state police said.
An SUV was traveling on the eastbound side of I-384 when it left the road, went through the median, hit several trees, and ended up on the westbound side, Manchester firefighters said.
Firefighters rescued the driver, who was then taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
State police is investigating the crash.
